Getting Started with a Ledger Device

This educational demo webpage is designed to help you understand the basics of setting up a Ledger hardware wallet. Owning digital assets requires responsible security habits, and hardware wallets help protect your private keys offline. When you begin with a Ledger device, the setup process focuses on making sure that only you have full control of your wallet.

First, connect your Ledger device using the cable included in the box. Once powered on, follow the instructions on the device screen to choose a PIN code. This PIN ensures that even if someone physically picks up your device, they cannot use it. Write your PIN somewhere private and never share it with anyone.

Your device will generate a recovery phrase, which is your ultimate backup. These 24 words allow you to restore your crypto if your device is lost, damaged, or replaced. Store your recovery phrase in a secure location offline. Do not take photos or save it in any digital format. If someone gains access to it, they can gain access to your assets.

When your device is ready, you can install Ledger Live from the official Ledger website. Ledger Live allows you to manage crypto accounts, install apps, and approve transactions directly from your device. Always verify website URLs carefully. Avoid phishing by typing official addresses manually instead of clicking random links online.

Crypto ownership means personal responsibility. Always prioritize safety. This page is a demo and not affiliated with the real Ledger company or its services. For official guidance, always refer to the verified Ledger website and documents included with your product.
